Peacock Architecture

The peacock means different things to different cultures as seen in the picture below.  This international architectural design, and in the west we associate the peacock with beauty and vanity.  “Vain as a peacock”  is an expression used to convey this idea of vanity, arrogance and pride.  The early church saw the peacock as a religious symbol; one of rebirth, immortality and the actual process of glorification. The peacock is also used in many temples, gates, and many other public places. The add vibrant color, texture, and design to all forms of architecture. These architectural forms range from mosaics, window frames, and even domes. Here are some pictures!
