Causes Worth Supporting: Animal Abuse

For this blog post, I'm gonna step away from all this peacock mania, and focus on a deeper cause: animal abuse. 

Animal abuse is one of the most sickest, and soulless crimes in the World. However, it is also one of the most preventable. People engage in animal abuse in every city in the world, and abuse almost all animals. The  most common type of animal abuse is domestic abuse to dogs, and cats. Many of these poor animals are going through malnutrition, hair loss, injuries, animal hoarding, shock collar, and the list goes on.

Unfortunately even many birds go through such animal abuse. Although it doesn't occur as much in peacocks, there are a number of cases of peacock killings reported in the United States alone. In rural areas, some peacock are poached for their feathers, many of which are unreported.

Here's how you can help:

• Always report suspicious activity to law enforcement, or animal control
• Educate abusers about what they are doing, and why it is bad
